There are people from all walks of life and all ages who get into vending for one reason or another. We have met accountants, builders, small business owners, retirees and every university students who either operate a few machines or are into vending full time. Vending attracts all sorts of people because it’s a simple business to operate.
Vending is like any other retail business. You buy your vending supplies at a wholesale price and then you sell it at a retail price. You get what’s in the middle (your gross profit) minus expenses like insurance and fuel. What is left is yours – profit.
Making money from vending is something that gets asked a lot. Do people make money from vending? Yes! There are lots of people and companies in vending, like Coke Cola, that suggests there is money to be made. Otherwise you wouldn’t see any vending machines around. While there is money to be made, don’t expect to become millionaires from vending. Vending provides a relatively stable income for a fair amount of effort, time and investment (just like anything else in life).
